History:
2003:
4IT was started in 2003 by Alexander Freund and Raymond Mobayed, two IT (information technology) professionals with over 40 years of expertise and experience supporting and managing mainframe and networked computer systems.
4IT was begun with one simple purpose: Deliver enterprise class technology solutions and support to the SMB (small & medium business) marketplace.
With that idea as a guide, Alex Freund and Raymond Mobayed began providing infrastructure and core network consulting services to an established group of clients across a broad range of industries. This required building an IT consulting division to provide hardware, software, installation, repair, and support services for networked file/print sharing, email, accounting, and other traditional SMB applications.
As our customer base grew, we soon realized that one of the major challenges to further growth would be providing desktop and application support to an expanding group of end-users with an expanding mix of applications.
2004:
By the middle of 2004, we started hiring additional technical staff whose sole purpose was to provide remote and telephone support to our customers, and the 4IT helpdesk was born. This was a significant step forward towards fulfilling our original goal. First, it allowed 4IT to provide to easily provide immediate and affordable desktop support to our current customers. Second, it gave our field engineering staff the opportunity to more closely examine our customer’s business operations, and adapt technology solutions to assist in growth, cost recovery, labor elimination, and logistics.
2005:
In 2005, 4IT added a full service telecommunications division, focused on structured data/voice cabling, business telephone systems, VoIP, and unified messaging integration.
2006:
In 2006, we added disaster recovery planning, co-location, and hosting services to our mix of products.
2007:
In 2007, we began deploying thin-client technology with Microsoft Terminal Server and Citrix to assist our clients in controlling management costs, and providing highly available remote access for branch office and multi-location support.
2008:
In 2008, we added specialized data security, IP surveillance, and data encryption solutions to our suite of products and services.
2009:
In 2009, we deployed N-Able software, a comprehensive System monitoring technology solution that provides 24/7 fully automated alerting systems, and includes full reporting on uptime, hardware, software and other metrics. 4IT Managed Services are focused on providing exceptionally fast problem resolution, and high IT service availability through proactive maintenance.
2010 and beyond:
In 2010 we expanded our services to include an Enterprise Class Data Center facility for clients who need Colocation services, ultra-reliable electrical power, 24/7 Air Conditioning, and physical secured access, internet bandwidth, VOIP telephone service, structured cabling, and IT consulting to all tenants in the building complex.
As we look ahead, 4IT will continue to work hard to establish partnerships with best-of-breed hardware and software manufacturers, find new products, and pursue opportunities to deploy technology solutions that assist our customers in accomplishing their business goals, and improving their bottom lines.
