Ft. Lauderdale, FL – February 23, 2015: South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine recently named Alexander Freund as the Apogee CIO for Miami-Dade County. The Apogee Awards honor individuals in the tri-county area based on their impact on their organization, clients, and the community.
Alexander Freund, 4IT’s President and CIO, was selected by a distinguished group of business and community leaders who comprise the SFBW editorial boards of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
The December 2014 issue of South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine examined the honorees’ predictions and economic outlook for 2015. The experts, including Freund, predict a strong 2015, but caution against warning signs ahead.
Freund says, “The recovery for South Florida will continue into 2015, slowing to a halt at the end of the year due to oil price declines drying up excess cash from South American and foreclosure properties halting increases in home prices and rental rates.”
The high-tech industry in South Florida will finally begin to bear fruit and 2015 will be a good year for 4IT, Freund continues. “4IT will continue moving IT infrastructure to the cloud. IT and technical employees will be scarce and tech labor will be constrained, creating opportunities for services that increase IT efficiency and drive process improvements.”
“Security will dominate, as more companies will suffer losses from hacking and data theft,” Freund said. “Every business is a target as the hacking community continues to grow and improve.”
